Getting to know you

Finding out what basic size, style, design and how you intend to use your ukulele. If you are unsure of what would be best, I will be happy to help. This also gives us a chance to get to know one another. This can be by email or phone.

Selecting materials

Choosing the right wood is easy. For back, sides & top, I will send you links to suppliers that often show photos of the exact pieces of woods, along with their costs. There are lots of choices for tuning machines, fretboard woods, etc. No worries, I will guide you through this process.

The Details

You can be an integral part in the details, such as inlay patterns, etc. I can also contact you with photos of the process along the way so you can see every step of your ukulele's construction. This gives you an opportunity to make decisions along the way, if you desire to do so and makes you a part of the process.

Finances

We will discuss costs in the beginning to make sure there are no surprises for either of us. I will require 50% payment to start and the balance upon completion. There can be some extra expenses such as cases, humidifiers (if going to a dry climate), straps, tuners, shipping and handling, etc.
