Sopranos are among the most popular and the smallest member of the ukulele family, usually about 20" long. The fretboard is about the same width but there is tighter spacing between the frets. The soprano is similar in size to the original ukuleles made in the 1800's. They are well known for their "Hawaiian" voice that make them favorites among players who prefer the old, traditional sound. Their small size also makes them great for traveling.
